- 500 gms chicken curry cut for Chicken briyani
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 cups of freshly chopped vegetables for veg briyani
- 2 ½ tbsp ORIKA’s Hyderabadi Biryani
- 100ml curd
- 1 ½ cup of basmati rice
- 1 nos sliced & fried onion
- 2-3 nos fresh mint leaves
Step 1For Chicken Biryani, marinate 500 gms of chicken with 1 tbsp of Orika’s Hydrabadi Rice Seasoning with 100 ml of curd for minimum 20 minutes.
Step 2Heat some oil in a pan & add 1 tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste in the same pan and sauté till the raw smell goes off.
Step 3Add 2 cups of freshly chopped vegetables/marinated chicken pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4Simply add 2 ½ tbsp of ORIKA’s Hyderabadi Biryani Seasoning to the mixture and fry for 3-4 minutes till you get an aroma.
Step 5Pour 100ml of water/curd and cook until the vegetables/chicken becomes tender.
Step 6While your vegetables/chicken are/is getting cooked, cook 1 ½ cup of basmati rice separately by adding a pinch of salt to it. Make sure that the rice is neither too mushy nor too dry.
Step 7Simply add the cooked rice to the vegetables/chicken pan and mix them gently.
Step 8Garnish your dish with fresh coriander leaves and 1 sliced & fried onion & 2-3 nos of fresh mint leaves, and then cover the rim of the pan with a foil.
Step 9For a dum effect, just place the covered pan over medium hot tawa at a medium high flame for 7 minutes and on a low flame for 15 minutes, then let your biryani rest for some time.
Step 10Your quick, yet flavorful Chicken/Vegetables Dum Hyderabadi Biriyani is ready to be served hot.
